Eiffel Tower At Night Painting

Just wanted to share my original art work on here as I've recently got back into painting and drawing, I'm hoping to do more posts like this as I'm now more confident in sharing, not that I'm some great artist or anything!
The Eiffel Tower is something I've always wanted to paint, this is based on various images of the Eiffel tower at night that I used for inspiration as I love all the vibrant colours that appear at night.
This is my first attempt at using acrylic paints to create a painting on canvas, I normally work with oil paints but find it takes ages to dry and quite messy to work with.  I must say that I love working with acrylic paint even though it does tend to dry really quickly, so much easier to clean up too!

I've also been a busy bee creating some other smaller paintings and sold a few already and have some commisions to do too, really surprised as never thought anyone would be interested in buying my work.  Painting is taking up a lot of my spare time so that's why I've not been blogging as much as I'd like but it feels good to be doing something creative again.

Hope you like it and want to see more? If you have done any creative posts whatever it might be, please link me to them!

  4. Thank you so much for your comment lovely! I'm glad you commented because I've found your blog and I'm in love.

This painting is incredible, the clouds are so realistic! I'm not surprised people are paying for them! ^_^

I can't believe this is your first attempt with acrylics too, I am hopeless with them. I need to find a good brand of acrylics and practice.
